My Future

For high school I attended High Tech High International. During high school I was given the opportunity to travel. I must say that my favorite trip was when I went to London, England where I saw Buckingham Palace, Stonehenge and my favorite, the first ever Hard Rock CafĂ©. That Hard Rock was amazing. They had the most awesome stuff. London was so beautiful. It is one of my favorite places in the world. The beautiful buildings and places I visited just took my breath away. During my senior year, I became very stressed and overwhelmed by the choices I had to make, I had to know what to study, and what colleges offered classes for the major of my choice. I realized that the one thing that I wanted to do most, was write novels. Luckily you don’t need a masters degree to write books, but I knew that I wouldn’t be able to live off writing books, at least for starting out. I ended up deciding to become a journalist. During college I went to UCSD and majored in American Literature. After i graduated from college, i got a job working for La Jolla times, publishing small articles about current events involving political issues. When I was 24 I married the love of my life, who is a scientist and is currently trying to prove his theory that whatever color a child’s room is when they are babies - infants, will be their favorite color in later life.
*sighs and shakes head*

Its not going all that well. After working at La Jolla Times for about a year and a half, i got a job writing articles for the Uinion Tribune. I then started working as theater critique, publishing my reviews in magazines and papers all around San Diego. After doing that for about 2 years, I quit my job to become a full time mother until all of my children had started school. In my spare time I have written several novels under a pen name about various subjects. I am now 34 years old and have 3 children, Michael (6 years old), and Claire and Ian who are twins ( 4 years old). I hope that through the books I have written, and am yet to write I will make some small impact on the world around us and make it a better place.

How did you meet your husband? How old were you?

Why did you want to be a jounralist? What did you write about as a journalist?

Why do you use a pen name and what are your books about?
